I’m a Marketing pro with a keen interest with all things digital.

From day-to-day management of social media accounts to blogging and content creation to email newsletters, I’ve had experience in many aspects of digital marketing.

Here are some highlights:

Social media marketing

SFU Volunteer Services Facebook

I managed SFU Volunteer Services’s Facebook and Twitter pages for 11 non consecutive months.

  • Experimented with the use of polls, questions, and tagging in order to increase engagement on social media platforms.
  • Increased Facebook likes by 61% and Twitter followers  by 30% in the first three and a half months.
  • Attracted additional 183 likes on Facebook the last four months by providing relevant and interesting content.
  • Utilized Facebook Insights and other online analytics tools to help increase impressions and interaction on the pages.
  • 306% increase in blog visits compared the same period the previous year.
  • 61% increase in Facebook likes within the first three and a half months.
  • 30% increase in Twitter followers within three and a half months.

Managed Google Plus and LinkedIn presence of a PR firm:

  • Created and maintained the Google Plus page (http://gplus.to/dunnpr)  and LinkedIn page (http://www.linkedin.com/company/dunn-pr)  of a Vancouver-based PR firm.
  • Added photos to Google Plus company page to enhance the look of the profile; also, shared valuable content across across all platforms to engage followers and increase brand awareness of the PR firm.

Email Marketing

Email Newsletter - SFU Volunteer Services

  • Added Facebook, Twitter and WordPress icons to email newsletters to highlight the organization’s active social media presence. Also, added social sharing buttons to make it easy for recepients to share the email.
  • Achieved an average open rates higher than the industry (according to MailChimp analytics).

Blogging and web writing

  • Extensive portfolio of written work. Published on Metro Vancouver, TalentEgg, SFU Our Learning Community, and SFU Volunteer Services ENGAGE blog.  Drafted blog posts for clients of a PR firm.
